玛雅城邦遗址位于尤卡坦半岛中部，是古玛雅帝国最大最繁华的城邦，始建于公元514年。
城邦的主要古迹有：千柱广场，它曾支撑巨大的穹窿形房顶。可见此建筑物之大。武士庙及庙前的斜倚的两神石像。9层，高30米的呈阶梯形的库库尔坎金字塔。以及圣井(石灰岩竖洞)和筑在高台上呈蜗形的玛雅人古天文观象台，称“蜗台”。
